I just updated to 2.0.3 and when I launch the app the initial splash screen with the Panels logo appears and remains onscreen for 20 seconds (I timed it) before abruptly quitting. At no point does the Library become available - just 20 seconds of the logo before it crashes.
This is on a 2018 iPad Pro (12.9”) with a comics collection exceeding 820gb. I have no yet updated the iPad to iOS 13.6. I will do that and report back.
Completed iPadOS 13.6 update. No change in Panels’ behavior.

I think the problem might be related to Scrolling through the library is incredibly laggy after Update 2.0.3
Your library is so big that the app is taking so much to pre-calculate the cover sizes that iOS is killing the app due to lack of UI responsiveness.
A new 2.0.4 is on its way and I expect it to solve your problem. It should be available today
