Unable to add cloud folder as library

Hi, I’ve been a long-time subscriber to Panels and recently started reading comics again, but I’ve run into an issue on iOS. All my comics are stored in a folder on my Synology Drive. When I try to add this folder as a library in Panels it will open Files app where I can select the folder. But the “Open” option in the top right corner is greyed out, so I can’t select it.

I tested moving some files to a folder on my iPhone, and in that case, I was able to add the folder as a library. However, when I tried the same thing with Google Drive, I had the same problem as with Synology Drive, I couldn’t add it as a library.

Could you please let me know if I’m doing something wrong or why this might be happening? Thank you!

Hi @hovasty

Panels relies on the iOS File Provider protocol to create cloud libraries. That is the protocol third-party cloud apps have to conform to, so other apps can access their content.

iCloud Drive obviously conforms to it, and also Dropbox. But neither Google Drive nor Synology Drive does, as far as I know.
It’s up to them to conform to this protocol. As soon as they do, Panels could use any of those services as cloud libraries.

I hope that makes sense.
