MetaData and Comic Tracker

AIs there any information available regarding the release date of the metadata update? I possess a considerable collection of comic books. The manual organization and folder placement process is quite burdensome. It would be highly beneficial if the application could automatically group them based on metadata. Additionally, I am interested in the possibility of a feature that enables us to monitor upcoming comic book releases. This feature would allow us to mark a comic book as read and then connect to a service that notifies us about the release date of the next issue.

We don’t have a release date. We are currently focused on the Mac app; metadata support will come after that. Most likely in 2025.

Comic tracking is currently outside our scope. We don’t plan to implement that feature in the near term.

In any case, this is encouraging. I also asked a similar question once.

Metadata was the best feature on Chunky. It’s the only thing I’m missing on Panels. Otherwise, Panels is the best app I’ve used so far. I would gladly pay for every update. Also, do you think there’s a way to lock pages? Like, some comics have slimmer, taller pagers. But if I zoom in a bit, it looks like full screen. Can we lock that size so that every page flip to the right gives us the same ratio?

We are also looking forward for adding metadata support
Thanks for your kind words and support.

About the zoom: We have a Zoom Lock feature that you can enable in the readers’ settings. When it’s enabled, you’ll see a popup menu appear when you tweak the zoom allowing you to lock it. Once locked, every page will keep that zoom. I hope that helps
