High res file rendering blurry

Hello,

I’ve been an avid user of Panels for several years and I’m a backer since I consider it a great product, as of lately I’ve been fighting with low-res rendering on the reader even though I’m using extremely high-res images which render with incredible detail if I open them in the photo app of the tablet/phone, but don’t inside panels.

I notice this problem mostly with manhwas which have very narrow and tall images, I’m starting to think that there is a hidden optimization algorithm that is compressing the images to make the reader snappier most likely or to apply the new image filters.

Is there a way I can turn off this internal compression which I suppose exists, or is there just a rendering issue with larger images?

Thanks!

Hey @sashimi
Thanks for your words.

It is difficult to tell the reason without inspecting the file more closely. There are optimizations in place, it depends on the kind of file (pdf, epub, jpg/png/etc). Will it be possible for you to send us the file at support@panels.app ?

If it’s too big to fit on an email you can just send us one or two pages, or use wetransfer (free tier).

Thanks in advance!

Thanks @victor , I sent you the email with all relevant info from my side
