I would love to see my streaming OPDS comics next to my other organized comics in the Panels Library. The library could be a mix of local and streamed comics.

It’s complicated.
We considered this option at some point but given the difference of features both sources have, we discarded it.
On a local library you can rearrange the content, delete it, create folders… on a remote library you can’t do any of that, and access to the content is not guaranteed (credentials might expire, the content can be deleted/modified on the server-side, …)
The technical complexity that comes from merging different sources of content overweights the benefits.
We are working on alternative solutions, though. Like making the remote content more accessible via bookmarks/favorites Favorite Links
