Feature Request: Direct Reading from External Storage (SSD/NAS)

Hi Panels team,

I recently purchased Panels for my iPad and I’m really enjoying the app. I have a question about storage options.

Is it possible to read comics directly from an external SSD or NAS without importing files to my iPad? I have limited storage (256GB) and would prefer to access my library directly from external sources rather than storing everything locally.

If this isn’t currently supported, would it be possible to implement this feature in a future update?

You can install an OPDS server like Kavita, Komga, Stump, Codex… on your NAS, and stream the comics directly into Panels.

It’s technically impossible to stream the files without a server application, because the pages have to be extracted and sent individually.
